| Wurruk Primary offers a very active and enthusiastic Parents & Friends Club that works exceptionally well in many ways benefiting the children. Its aims and objectives are: |
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES |

To promote a social atmosphere among parents/guardians of students.
To promote the welfare of the school community members and to assist the School Council in stimulating interest in the school.
To provide an opportunity for all parents/guardians of students at the school to discuss issues concerned with the welfare and general education policy of the school and to assist in the development of a shared point of view.
To liaise regularly with the Principal and School Council.
To foster good relations with the School Council.
To receive funds and, with the approval of the School Council, raise funds and expend funds for the benefit of the school.
To assist in the co-ordination of school activities.
To offer students and parents the opportunity to take part and benefit in activities offered by the school. (Friday lunches, sports day excursions, etc.)
To conduct meetings in accordance with democratic procedures which will enable the participation of all parents/guardians of a child at the school.

MEMBERSHIP |
|
Membership of the Parent and Friends Club, shall be open to any parent/guardian and/or grandparent of a child at the school. |
REGISTER OF MEMBERS |
|
The Club secretary shall maintain a register of financial club members and their addresses, and provide an attendance book for members to sign at each meeting they attend. |
SUBSCRIPTIONS |
|
The annual subscription shall be payable on or before the annual meeting of the Club. Only financial members shall be able to vote at any meeting. The amount of the subscription for the following year shall be determined by a majority vote of members present at the Annual General Meeting, providing that notice of such intent is circulated beforehand to all members. A member joining during the year may pay the subscription at any General Meeting. |
