OBJECTIVES

For children to develop fully as people and as members of the group they require many kinds of educational opportunities appropriate to their varying family backgrounds, personalities, expectations, abilities and the influence of their peer group. These values are a product of the child's total experiences and will occur if the school itself manifests democratic values.

We shall endeavour to achieve the following goals with the children at Wurruk Primary School by:-

GOALS RELATING TO THE GENERAL NATURE OF WURRUK PRIMARY SCHOOL.

To provide a friendly, safe and purposeful environment in which students are able to value and enjoy learning.

To provide an atmosphere in which students show consideration for, and tolerance of, the needs of others and the general environment in which they work and live.

To develop the school as an integral part of the community in which it serves, and to work with others to provide the most worthwhile education for its students.

GOALS RELATING TO THE GENERAL NATURE OF THE SCHOOL'S CURRICULUM.

To provide a breadth and depth of learning experiences which will enable each student to discover and develop his or her own abilities and interests.

To provide learning experiences which will challenge, extend and motivate all students to pursue activities in order that they may reach their full potential, whether that be in an intellectual, physical or aesthetic sense.

To provide learning experiences which convey meaning to students by showing the connections between ideas and practices.
